UK Purchasing department had contracted the company to be the largest customer outside of the US for an innovative e-procurement software system – without prior reference to Corporate Information Services. Retained to oversee 3rd party implementation across all UK business operations from a Corporate IS perspective, to “spot gaps and unblock log-jams”.

Shaped technical delivery through agreement of remedial identification of deliverables and acceptance criteria with 3rd party project and account management. Responsible for advising IS senior management on the acceptability of the contractor’s products and general progress. Co-ordinated client’s internal technical resources and functions to support the transformational change required for the project’s success. Oversaw the successful rollout to UK Head Office departments.

Developed approach, initial resource plans and budgets for the on-going in-house support and maintenance of the delivered system.

Drafted the IS strategy for the envisaged worldwide rollout of the system, including identification of major risks and issues.
